Dear LBC Family,
We want to update you on what’s happening at LifeBridge in light of the coronavirus (COVID-19). We have been following this evolving story with you and watching for guidance from the Pinellas County Health Department and state officials. We believe that God does not want us to live a life of fear (2 Timothy 1:7). We also know that God has asked us to be wise (Proverbs 4:6-7), to protect those He has given us to watch over (Acts 20:28), and that we have a moral responsibility to be good stewards of this situation.
After praying as a leadership team, we have decided that in order to help protect the members of LifeBridge Church and the surrounding community, we will postpone meeting together for Sunday services through the month of March.
However, we encourage all of you to join us for Sunday services as an online community at 11am on YouTube.
We are also postponing the gathering of our missional communities and other events until the end of March. While we believe that God will cover us in the midst of the storm, we do not take this situation lightly and understand the importance of operating with wisdom.
As a community with Jesus at the center of all that we are and do, we are encouraged to turn our eyes to the One who calms the winds and waves in every and all situations. To that end, let’s pray for those impacted by the virus, as well as their families and loved ones. Pray we will not be driven by fear but be guided by love. Pray for them to love their community and care for the sick like never before. Let’s also encourage one another daily (Hebrews 3:13) via text, phone, and social media as we walk together through these unprecedented times.
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Joe and the LBC Leadership Team
