The Gospel and Withered Lives: Mark 3:1-6

March 4, 2012 Speaker: Joe Walser Series: Mark

Topic: Biblical Passage: Mark 3:1–3:6

*Mark 3:1-6 What is our relationship to the law? Your relationship to the law is important. The laws demand is to love your enemy and do not resist his evil. *Matthew 5:38-41 We cannot keep the law. What do we think about the law: 1.We rejected out of hand. 2.We diminish its requirements so we can keep what we created and validate our righteousness. The word of the God says that we are to obey every command, the law. Answers that Jesus has to the conflict that is mounting: 1.All the laws in the bible are a shadows looking forward to Jesus. Only Jesus can forgive sins. 2.Your all guilty (to the Pharisees), Jesus came for those that He chose. 3.Turning your life upside down. *Genesis 2:15 Rest, humankind enjoying the presence of God. Despair, repent or hate the person, that is what the law does. *Deuteronomy 28:20,32-33; 30:15-16 Jesus replaces the law, only Jesus can provide life.
